About Comic Artist – Huang Yulang

Huang Yulang is a legendary person in the Hong Kong comic industry. He was born in 1950 and began his career in comics at the age of 13.

In 1986, Huang successfully listed the “Jademan (Holdings) Limited” on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, ushering in the golden age of Hong Kong comics.

Huang Yulang pioneered a unique and powerful fine art style in comics, promoting the spirit of chivalry, martial arts virtues, and boundless creativity. His representative works such as “Dragon and Tiger Heroes 龍虎門”, ” Legend of The Emperors 天子傳奇”, ” Mysterious Weapon 神兵玄奇”, “Dragon Tiger V 龍虎5世” and “Heroes of the Spring and Autumn 春秋戰雄” became popular in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, and other regions, with sales exceeding 400 million copies.

Huang Yulang industrialized and commercialized the comic industry in Hong Kong. The thousands of comic talents he taught, promoted, or trained have made significant contributions to the Hong Kong comic industry. Huang Yulang is revered as the “Godfather of Comics” for his accomplishments in this field.
