During the 1970s to early 1980s in Hong Kong, the comic strip “Cowboy” (now is renamed as “MyBoy”) created by Wong Sze-ma was serialized daily in the supplement of Ming Pao newspaper. This four-panel comic strip gained popularity among readers. The comic descripts the daily life and humorous moment between “Uncle” and “Cowboy”, a father and son.
About Comic Artist – Wong Sze-ma (1940-1983)
Wong Sze-ma（1940 —1983），originally named Huang Yongxing, was a comic artist and sound enthusiast. He was born in Macau and later moved to Hong Kong, where he became a renowned comic artist. He collaborated with fellow comic artist Joseph Chak Wong to co-create the comic series “Old Master Q and Uncle”.
